Emergencies

Call 911 if you think that the student is an immediate danger to self or others.

 

Center Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday  thru Friday

Daytime Emergencies: Either call (974-2196) or come to the center from 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm.

After 5 .p.m:  Go to the emergency room of the UT Medical Center or the nearest local hospital

Transportation: Students who are on campus and need transportation, may call Campus Police at 974-3114.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: (1-800-273-TALK) The federally funded National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a system of toll-free telephone numbers that routes calls from anywhere in the United States to a network of more than 120 certified local crisis centers that can link callers to local emergency, mental health, and social service resources. People in emotional distress or suicidal crisis can call anytime from anywhere in the Nation to speak with a trained counselor. All incoming calls are immediately routed to the networked crisis center which is geographically closest to the caller (www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org).
