At some time, everybody can use some help.
We provide a caring environment where an unbiased person can help you work through your problems in a nonjudgmental manner.
The staff of the University of Tennessee Student Counseling Center (UTSCC) includes licensed psychologists, social workers, graduate assistants, psychology interns, and practicum counselors. We also offer psychiatric services provided by our full-time psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner. All of our staff are generalists and see students presenting with a variety of issues. Every day, the UTSCC is involved in activities and services that strengthen our campus to be supportive, engaged and, ultimately, connected around student mental health. Our work revolves around clinical service delivery, prevention and education, mental health wellness, and training a new generation of professionals. Together, we can achieve a campus climate of mental ‘health’ where each student can engage thoughtfully as an active community member and to help their fellow students.
